Privacy Policy

Overview

ChiaBill is a bill-splitting utility that generates VietQR payment codes. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect (very little) and how we handle it.

Data We Do Not Collect

• No personal information (name, email, phone number)
• No user accounts or login credentials
• No location data
• No cookies or tracking technologies
• No analytics or advertising identifiers
• No contact lists or address books

Data We Process

When you create a shared bill link, the bill data (item names, amounts, participant names, and bank account details you enter) is compressed and stored temporarily on our server to generate a short shareable URL. This data is:

• Stored for a maximum of 14 days, then automatically and permanently deleted
• Not linked to any user identity
• Not shared with any third parties
• Not used for any purpose other than rendering the bill page when the short link is visited

Device Permissions

ChiaBill may request the following permission:

• Photo Library (Save) — Only used to save generated QR code images to your device when you explicitly tap the save button. We do not read or access your existing photos.

Third-Party Services

ChiaBill does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The QR codes generated follow the VietQR standard and are processed entirely by your banking app when scanned.

Children's Privacy

ChiaBill does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since we do not collect personal information from any users, this applies equally to all age groups.

Data Security

Bill data is stored in an encrypted database and transmitted over HTTPS. Short bill codes are randomly generated and difficult to guess. All data is automatically purged after 14 days.

By using ChiaBill, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

Description of Service

ChiaBill is a free utility that helps you split bills among a group of people and generate VietQR codes for convenient bank transfers. The app does not process any financial transactions directly.

User Responsibilities

• You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of bill amounts and bank account details before sharing or making payments.
• You should not use ChiaBill for any unlawful purpose.
• You acknowledge that QR codes generated by ChiaBill initiate bank transfers through your own banking app, and ChiaBill bears no responsibility for those transactions.

No Warranty

ChiaBill is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that bill calculations will be accurate in all edge cases. Always verify amounts before making payments.

Limitation of Liability

ChiaBill and its developers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app, including but not limited to incorrect payments, bank transfer errors, or data loss.

Service Availability

Shared bill links are available for 14 days after creation. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without prior notice.

Changes to These Terms

We may update this Privacy Policy and Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
