Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to create an account to use ChiaBill?
No. ChiaBill does not require any account, registration, or login. All data is stored locally on your device.
How do I split a bill?
Tap "Chia đều" (Equal Split) on the home screen, enter the total amount and number of people, add your bank account, and tap "Tạo QR" to generate a VietQR code. Share the QR code with your friends via any messaging app.
Does ChiaBill work outside Vietnam?
The app functions everywhere, but the QR codes generated follow the Vietnamese VietQR/NAPAS standard and can only be scanned by Vietnamese banking apps.
Which banks are supported?
All major Vietnamese banks that support the VietQR/NAPAS standard, including Vietcombank, Techcombank, MB Bank, ACB, BIDV, VietinBank, TPBank, VPBank, Sacombank, and more.
How do I save or share a generated QR code?
After generating the QR, tap "Tải về" to save the image to your photo library, or tap "Chia sẻ" to share it directly via another app (Zalo, iMessage, Messenger, etc.).
What happens when I share a bill via link?
The bill data is compressed and stored temporarily on our server for 14 days so recipients can view it in a browser. After 14 days, the link and its data are permanently deleted.
Can I create groups to track bills over time?
Yes. Go to the "Nhóm" tab, create a group with 2–20 members, and assign bills to that group. You can then use "Chốt sổ" (Period Settlement) to summarize all bills and generate a single payment QR per member.
How do I delete my data?
Go to Settings → "Xóa toàn bộ dữ liệu" to permanently delete all bills, groups, accounts, and QR templates from your device.
Is ChiaBill free?
Yes. ChiaBill has no ads, no in-app purchases, and no subscriptions.
